Michel Lessard

President

Born and raised in Val Gagné, Ontario, Michel has over 40 years of experience in all aspects of funeral service. After being employed with Timmins Northland Monuments and Stephens Funeral Home for 10 years, he pursued his studies in the Funeral Service Education Program at Humber College. He graduated in 1990. He then returned to Timmins to work as a fully licensed funeral director for Stephens Funeral Home. Interested in owning and operating the firm, Michel entered partnership, in 1994, with Mr. John Stephens. In 1999, Michel and Lynne became owners of what is now Maison funéraire LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre. Michel continually strives at making sure every family they serve receives the highest standards of care and professionalism.


Lynne Carrière

Bilingual Aftercare Services Coordinator

Lynne was born and raised in Timmins. She became partners of the funeral home with Michel in 1999. Lynne created Aftercare Services, in order to provide grief education and individualized support to the families they serve and those of the community, who have experienced a loss. Her professional and gentle approach with children and adults is based on the knowledge and skills she has acquired through her many educational and work experiences. She is a certified Grief Consultant, Meditation Teacher, Reiki Practitioner, Teacher and Child and Youth Worker.


Natasha Chénier

Bilingual Funeral Director

Natasha was born and raised in Timmins. She is a graduate of École secondaire Thériault. She successfully completed the French Funeral Service Education Program at Collège Boréal in 2020.  She obtained her Ontario funeral director's license in 2020. Her warm and courteous approach with families is appreciated by all.


Jacob Lessard

Bilingual Funeral Director

Jacob was born and raised in Timmins. He is a graduate of École secondaire Thériault. He graduated from Laurentian University with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in 2020. He successfully completed the French Funeral Service Education Program at Collège Boréal and obtained his Ontario funeral director's license in 2022. Jacob's approach is always courteous and genuine.

Michel Ladouceur

Funeral Director Assistant

Michel was born and raised in Timmins. He is a graduate of École secondaire Thériault. He successfully completed the French Funeral Service Education Program at Collège Boréal in 2012. He obtained his Ontario funeral director's license in 2013. His dynamic and cordial approach is a valuable asset to our team.

Lorne Cook

Funeral Director Assistant

Born and raised in Timmins, Lorne and his wife Gale have raised four children. He is the proud grandfather of six grandchildren. Lorne joined the funeral home on a part-time basis in 1986. His community involvement includes being a member of the Porcupine Dante Club, the Holy Name Society and of the Knights of Columbus, Council 2403. He is also a long-time member of Sacred Heart Church. Lorne’s vast experience with the funeral home, along with his pleasant approach, are definite assets to our firm.

Lesley Ferrier

Reception Hostess

Lesley was born and raised in Timmins. Her vast array of work experiences reflects in her positive interactions with the families that we serve. She and her husband Calvin are proud parents of their daughter Lily. Lesley is a dedicated volunteer at her daughter’s school. She is a member of the Timmins Horticultural Society. Her calm, courteous and gentle approach is appreciated by the families she greets and attends to during receptions.
