Cremation Options

Part of making funeral arrangements involves choosing between burial and cremation. It is important to remember that choosing cremation is only one part of providing meaningful end-of-life care. Bringing family and friends together provides everyone with the opportunity to share memories and receive support. Our team can help you plan a visitation for family and friends and/or a fitting memorial service at our facility or in a place of your choosing.

You will find below commonly selected cremation options. Each can be modified to meet your needs:

Traditional Cremation Services

These are much like a traditional funeral. The body of the deceased is placed in a casket suitable for cremation or in a rental casket. The cremation takes place after the visitation and/or the funeral service. Once the cremation has occurred, the cremated remains are returned to the family, who can then decide to scatter, bury, place them in a niche, or keep them at home.

Memorial Service Following Cremation

A memorial service can take place at any time after the cremation has occurred. The cremated remains are usually present at the service, which is typically held at the funeral home chapel or at a place of worship. Visitation can be held before the service.

Visitation Following Cremation

Visitation can take place at any time after the cremation has occurred. The cremated remains are present for the visitation.

Celebration of Life Following Cremation

A celebration of life can take place at any time after the cremation has occurred. The cremated remains can be present or not. It can take place in any setting preferred by the family, including our Reception Centre.

Direct Cremation

This option is selected when no visitation, no gathering nor service will be held.
