Obituary for Martin "Butch" Buchar

Martin "Butch" Buchar
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Martin "Butch" Buchar on Friday, June 5th, 2020. He was a loving husband to his dear wife Michelle (Brunette), devoted father to his daughters Julie (Richard), Tania, Christa (Jeremy) and Angie (Jesús). He was a proud grandpa to Elizabeth, Jamar, Aiden, Ava Martina, Rianna and Octavia Marta. He was a caring brother to Frank "Breetz" (Sally) and David "Buc"(Laurie), and was predeceased by his parents Frank and Annie (Dukovac). He will be sadly missed by his many relatives and so many dear friends.

Butch grew up a proud Schumacher boy and developed into a worldly man. He knew how to make you laugh with his wit, make you reflect on questions of life and was a true advocate for what was right and fair in a no-nonsense kind of way.

He was very humble but was a man of many talents whether on the ice, in the bodybuilding gym, in a Hydro bucket truck or in his workshop. His true wealth as he saw it was quality time spent with his family and friends at home, at the cottage or in his beloved Croatia.

Butch was stoic, loyal, honourable, respectful and hard-working. He was a solid friend to many and a family man in every sense of the word. He will be deeply missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Should friends desire, donations may be made to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME. Online condolences or donations can be made at www.lessardstephens.com
