Obituary for Donna Gwendolyn Pigeon (Niddery)

Donna Gwendolyn  Pigeon (Niddery)
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Donna Gwendolyn Pigeon (nee
Niddery) , 79, of Timmins, Ontario, on May 16, 2020. Left to cherish her memory are her children Leonard Jr. (Irene) Pigeon (Amherstburg, ON), Dana (Clem) Vaillancourt (Porcupine, ON), David (Julie) Pigeon (Timmins, ON). Grandchildren Jamie Pigeon (London, ON), Christopher Pigeon (Amherstburg, ON), Mariah (Brent) Clarke (Timmins, ON), Austin (Ashley) Vaillancourt (Ottawa, ON), Hailey Vaillancourt (Porcupine, ON). She will be greatly missed by her surviving siblings Earl Niddery (White Rock, BC), Betty (late Doug) MacRae (Ethelbert,
MB), Dorothy (late Nebbie) Thrasher (Timmins, ON) and sisters-in-law, Theresa (late Dino) Bertolo (Timmins, ON), Marjorie (Romeo) Natolino (Timmins, ON), Donna (Ted) Sheculski (Timmins, ON), and many loving nieces and nephews . She has forever joined our father, Leonard Pigeon, her loving husband, Earl and Gwendolyn Niddery her parents, Archie and Irene Pigeon her parents in-law and Andrew Niddery her brother.
The family would like to thank Dr. Auger and the wonderful dedicated staff (especially C.J.’s
intuition) at the Golden Manor for their care. Your love and dedication is amazing. Dr. Parmar and
the nurses (especially Tania) at the Dialysis centre at the Timmins and district Hospital for all
their support and the wonderful caring drivers of Handi Transit (especially Amy) and Dr. K.
Armstrong for all the previous years of care. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can
be made in Donna’s Memory, to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or Alzheimer’s Society.
Donna will be remembered as an incredible woman of faith and family. She was a dedicated grama,
mom, extraordinary baker, gardener, and faithful CWL member. Family gatherings and celebrations
being her favourite way of spending time.
A private family service officiated by Fr. John Lemire has taken place . A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for extended family and friends.
